Privacy notice

This notice explains how Rafidain Labs Ltd (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website. We are the data controller for that information under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What we collect

Contact form. When you send us a message, we receive your name, email address, organisation (if you give one), the type of enquiry and your message.
Emails. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested, such as IP address, browser type and the time of the request. This is used to run and secure the site.

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.

Why we use it

We use the information you send us only to read and reply to your enquiry and to keep a record of our correspondence. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or, where your enquiry is about working with us, taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement. Technical data is processed under our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

We do not sell your information or use it for marketing.

Who processes it for us

Google (Firebase Hosting and Cloud Functions) hosts this website and passes contact form submissions to our email.
Namecheap (Private Email) provides our email service, where messages are delivered and stored.
Google Fonts supplies the typeface used on this site; your browser requests it from Google, which receives your IP address.

These providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and related correspondence for as long as needed to deal with them and any follow-up, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we need to keep them longer for a legal reason or because we go on to work together.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or stop using it. You can also ask to receive it in a portable format. To make a request, email contact@rafidainlabs.com. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint (opens in a new tab) or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
